The Golf Secrets of the Big Money Pros eBook Jerry Heard

All golf pros have special secret techniques for shaving strokes off their game, but they couldn't tell you about about all of them even if they wanted to. They'd have to watch themselves in a mirror, take extensive notes, and then spend months organizing and refining it all.
That's why it took Jerry's team of more than 30 slow motion technicians, photographers, artists and illustrators to help Jerry turn those unconscious techniques into clear diagrams and eary-to-understand eplanations. Because of this sort of painstaking detail it cost over $100,000 just to produce the manuscript for this one-of-a-kind book.
The Golf Secrets of the Big Money Pros eBook Jerry Heard
This is a great book for intermediate level golfers. I am a long time golfer now in my late 50's, and my handicap has varied from 4 to 13 over the years, most often 7-10. I bought this book at it's original pressing in 1992 and still have it. Recently I have been having troubles with my short game and I re-visited both this book and my copy of Dave Pelz's short game bible. It is humorous how different these books are with Dave's 400+ pages and Jerry's sub-200 pages with tons of illustrations and large type. While Dave's book taught me about the length of backswing trick (I use it), I found Jerry's hones right in on key points that the intermediate golfer can recognize right away and go....oh yeah! After that quick review I shot 2 consecutive rounds in the high 70's applying those couple tips. I think if you have good basics, the game is pretty easy....at least easy enough to hit plenty of good shots and enjoy yourself. This book is easy to access any area you need and quickly review key points. The numerous pencil sketches in this book are an excellent visualization of the particular tip being discussed.Product details

Thats why it took Jerry's team of more than 30 slow motion video technicians, photographers, artists and illustrators to help Jerry turn those unconcscious techniques into clear diagrams and easy to understand explanations. (This is an oversized paperback with 187 pages. It is profusely illustrated and diagrammed.)
I am not quite sure what to think. Is this a disappointing book in that it is too simplistic and deficient or should I learn that great golf is very simplistic and no where near as complicated as we make it. I lean toward the first thought because of various cues. First cue the book lists several "secrets" under a heading and then follow it up with corny drawings and simplistic comments. The previous paragraphs were adequate so why this follow up? I conclude it is lame filler. Perhaps they were originally the corny one page stuff that appears in golf magazines. In addition the paragraphs themselves are rather generalized and not very insightful. Like secret #X = grip size is very important. That is about it not very much else is offered. That is how the entire book goes. I would not recommend it to a beginner as it sets all the wrong tone. I got it cheap so I can't complain much
